As CAB Construction developed and expanded its fabrication capabilities special attention has been given to a customer need identified early on. “QuantityONE” is a process that promotes research and development by a team; the customer and CAB craftsmen. The CAB crew is skilled in building “one off” products, as the concept of QuantityONE originated in the products custom designed and built for its millwright business. A millwright would craft what was needed to complete a project, often resulting in a quick resolution of a problem that might otherwise have kept a plant from going back into production.
This cross-functional approach of one or two people designing, building, and installing an item has resulted in a core group of CAB employees that understand the various processes required to complete projects that range from small to large structural items; with equipment and support personnel prioritized to meet the customer’s deadlines. The customer is included as a member of the team with interface directly to the project crew through the account manager at CAB. This approach promotes attention to detail, efficiency, and quality work that pulls the team together through pride in their achievement. Lasting relationships with customers is often the result.
