HISTORY of CAB Construction
CAB was founded February 1984 by the Betts family. Clarence A. ( Butch) Betts was a working General Manager. Managing a crew of four millwrights who provided service to several agri based businesses in the Mankato area. The business expanded to other plants across Southern Minnesota.
In 1995, CAB employed a large crew for a project in Mankato, which prompted the expansion to a new shop in Madison lake in 1996.
Management passed to Kevin A. Betts in February 1996 after Clarence's untimely death. Kevin met the challenges of change, moving CAB into metal fabrication of heavy structural components for a variety of customers.
In 2005, the owner of CAB (Bonnie J. Betts) purchased a building in Mankato which allowed CAB capacity to build larger structural units for the energy industry.
Kevin sought certification for his crew in CWB and UL skills. Equipment was purchased and retro fitted to promote high quality competitive bidding in different market areas.
CAB was once again challenged by Kevin's untimely death in March of 2008.
Bonnie put into place a plan that would provide CAB a strong management team with the vision of CAB , continued growth and diversification into the next generation.
